Cameras

Ok, so here are the cameras I found on Amazon for around 100 bucks, which I should have via my rewards programs by the end of the month.

- Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-W530 14.1 MP Digital Still Camera with Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 4x Wide-Angle Optical Zoom Lens and 2.7-inch LCD - $90

- Fujifilm FinePix JX250 14 MP Digital Camera w/ 5x Wide Angle Optical Zoom, 2.7" LCD - $90

- Kodak Easyshare Touch M5370 16 MP Digital Camera with 5x Optical Zoom, HD Video Capture and 3.0-Inch Capacitive Touchscreen LCD - $90

- GE E1450W-RD 14.1MP Digital Camera with 5X Optical Zoom and 2.7-Inch LCD with Auto Brightness - $90

- Nikon COOLPIX S4100 14 MP Digital Camera with 5x NIKKOR Wide-Angle Optical Zoom Lens and 3-Inch Touch-Panel LCD - $100

Of course, there are lots of other ones, but these are the ones that stood out to me. I think I am leaning towards the Sony Cybershot, Kodak, or Nikon. Do any of you have experience with any of these? Will I be able to get decent swatch shots with these?

Just life

I didn't really have much to share as far as a Wordless Wednesday went this week. I have lots of pictures of Mallory, but just more of the same kinds of things I have posted so many times already. lol. She's such a little ham.

I had ANOTHER interview this week. This will be my fourth one. Hopefully this is my break. I feel like this one has went the best so far, but maybe that is just because I am getting better at answering 'interview' type questions. It's not a great paying job, but something that will help put some extra money in my pocket for things that I want but don't need. Like more nail polish, clothes, and shoes! haha. And it seems like a really laid back job where I wouldn't be so stressed all the time...Also, very close to home. It would take me less than 5 minutes to get there. So, there are definitely some pros and cons, but more pros I suppose.

I have a sneaking suspicion that even though I have a great work history, the fact that I got fired from my last job is a huge detriment in me getting hired anywhere. I worked at a gas station for nearly five years, I was Assistant Manager there, and one night right at the end of my shift, I was closing out one of my cashier's registers and I was robbed at knife point. Like, the guy came up, grabbed me, held a huge knife right up to my face and demanded the money. Well, lo and behold, there is a limit to how much you were allowed to have in your register and the cashier had over that amount. Since I was the Assistant Manager, and the one closing the register, I was held accountable and fired. I had never been warned or reprimanded about anything of that nature before. The only thing I had ever been in trouble for was using my cell phone on the sales floor.

I am afraid that potential employers are hesitant to hire someone that has been fired from a previous job. Although, this manager that I just interviewed with seemed very understanding and also shocked that I was fired for such a thing. I am just hoping to hear back by the end of the week.

School is going well, but it is only the....4th week, I believe. I always do good at the beginning of the semester, then as it goes on and my grade is pretty much locked, I start phoning it in. I am trying to finish out strong, though. Maybe I can get through the entire semester without skipping class once. AND doing all my homework. Wouldn't that be something?!

Not too much else going on. Keep your fingers crossed that I get this job so I can finally start going to town on my wishlist! lol.

Small Drug Store Haul

I stopped at Walgreens and RiteAid the other day on my way home from school because Mallory needed some medicine. Of course, this was the perfect opportunity to pick up a couple new polishes! lol.

I snagged Sinful Colors Daddy's Girl, Cinderella, Essie Armed & Ready, Wet N Wild Bite The Bullet and Heatwave. The Wet N' Wilds were on clearance at RiteAid for only 50 cents! I couldn't pass them up. Especially since they are both colors that I love. Bite The Bullet is a dusty lavender and Heatwave is a bright neon red jelly! Kinda like the OPI's from the Texas Collection that I just got. There were more that were marked down, too, but the rest that were in stock weren't really colors that I was fond of.

Oh! And for anyone that has a Walgreens around, they said that the week on Feb 12th, all Sinful Colors will be 99 cents! So, if you want to pick up Cinderella or any other colors, wait til then so you can get it half off. I am going to go grab a few colors that look like dupes for other polishes that I want.

Mail Call!

This week I received the My Lip Stuff balm set. The flavors I got were Caramel, Cookie Dough Ice Cream, Lemon Mellow, Amaretto, Peach Bellini and also a Pumpkin Spice one, but my daughter hijacked that one as soon as she seen I got all the lip balms. lol. The consistency is almost exactly like a Chap-Stick, and the flavors/scents are very true to their names and smell so good!

Well, that was all for this week. Next week I should be getting my Konad set! Yay!

How to Use Superpoints

I have referred a few people now to Superpoints, but I feel like it is an awkward rewards experience and people may give up rather quickly if they don't get the hang of it. I am going to explain a little bit of the ins and outs of it because it really is an easy program to rack up a little extra cash or Amazon cards for polish!! I don't earn quite as much from this as I do from Swagbucks, but it's a nice supplemental program and I spend less than 5 minutes a day doing it.

First, when you join, I believe you only start with 5 points unless you joined from someone's like that had bonus points. You also only start with 5 clicks on the Super Lucky Button.

This 'Super Lucky Button' is your main way to earn quick points on Superpoints. There are special offers (trials, surveys, etc) just like on Swagbucks. You can take advantage of these if you want to rack up points quicker, but if I do any special offers at all, I do them on Swagbucks.

Anyways, basically, you just click the button, and you either win points (anywhere from 1 - 200), or you don't. Simple.

Like I said, when you first join, you only get 5 clicks. This is not many at all. To get more clicks, all you have to do is complete your profile. It just includes filling in some basic info like your birthday and location. Very simple and will probably take you less than a minute. You also have to validate your e-mail, which is clicking a confirmation link just like you would a newsletter.

After completing those two easy steps, you get 5 more bonus points (don't quote me on that figure), and you are now in the 'Basic' membership level. At this point, you get 30 clicks per day with the Super Lucky Button. Much better than 5, huh?

Any membership level above Basic, you need referrals. To reach the Gold level, you need to have uploaded a basic picture of yourself (like FB) and have at least 2 referrals who are in the Basic membership level. This will get you 50 Lucky button clicks a day. To get 100 clicks per day, there are the same profile requirements, but you need 5 referrals at Basic membership level. Which means your referrals have to complete their profile and validate their email.

Oh, and once you get to the Gold membership level, you earn what your referrals earn. So, if they win 10 points on the Lucky Button, then so do you. Some programs, like Swagbucks, you can earn very quickly with no referrals, but this is a program that it really is beneficial to have a couple friends join under you.

Also, about once a day you will get a Super Lucky Email from them with points. There is no ads or anything, just a notification of how many points it's worth (I've seen 1 - 25), and you get them when you click on it.

I don't think this is the fastest earning rewards program out there, but it also isn't the worst. If you can get a couple active referrals, then it can really be worth your while. You can only join via invite link from someone that is already a member. Here are a few if you are interested in joining.

If all of these end up getting used, just leave me a message in the comments or email me, and I will post some more. Happy earning! :)
