Essie Tart Deco

I have another beautiful spring color for you today. I have a hard time describing this color, because I feel it's too orange to be called coral, yet there is enough pink in it for it not to be a true orange. Maybe more of a salmon color. It's bright and fun for spring...just bright enough to get noticed, but not bright enough to look crazy. Love.

Two careful coats is all it took, but you will want to be cautious when applying because it drags really easily. I also had a bit more pooling in my cuticles than normal, but that happens sometimes. I will take it when it comes to this shade.

Where are the hauls!?!?

Here are my polish additions from the past two weeks. I figured out I haven't been hauling as much since now I am done with school, so I'm not out stalking drug stores like I used to. I would stop at 4 different drugstores at least once a week on my way home from school. Now, I only go if I am looking for something in particular.

Not to mention, I have been spending so much money on my garden. Every time I drop another 60, 70 dollars....I think how much polish that could have been. Oh well, though, it's fun to have another hobby and something that I can share with my daughter all summer.

Anyways, here are the polishes I got the last two weeks.

China Glaze Sacred Heart, Orly Au Champagne

China Glaze I'm With The Lifeguard, Sun-Kissed, Orange You Hot?, Surfin' For Boys

China Glaze Under The Boardwalk, Beach Cruis-er, Ride The Waves, Splish Splash

Flirty Tankini, Pink Plumeria, Love's A Beach, Hang-Ten Toes

Essie Your Hut or Mine, Julep Mandy, Julep Alyson

Julep Anne

Julep Anne is a bright, springy violet shade. Julep describes it as an ultra-saturated violet creme. Anne is a beautiful shade, and definitely ultra saturated. You can have full coverage in one thick coat with this polish. Also, easy enough with two thinner coats if that is more your painting style. My only two complaints with this polish are that it chipped really fast, and dried very dull. You will certainly need a top coat to bring out the shine in this polish.

Other than that, not too much to say about it.

1 coat Orly Bonder, 2 coats Anne, 1 coat SV

No giveaways?!

That's right...there are no giveaways ending today. Isn't that something. I have noticed that this month has been a bit slower than previous. There are significantly less ending on the 31st as there have been the last few months. I think for a while there were just so many, and now bloggers are kinda taking a break from hosting so many.

Anyways, I'm still trying to get caught up with blog posts. I have one swatch post that I need to edit pics for. I also have a couple ideas for nails this weekend, but we will see if I even have time to do them. I spent nearly three days planting a vegetable garden with my mom and daughter...well, birds came along and ate all 70 of my plants!! So, now I have to go buy more and do it all over again. Shouldn't take as long this time, but frustrating none the less. I've been given a few tips about keeping the birds away, so hopefully it doesn't happen again.

My fiance bought me a new laptop for graduating college. YAY! It's really nice, too. So, now I will have more opportunities to work on blogging and stuff since I won't be limited to the desktop computer. I'm so happy. I've also been thinking of upgrading to a better camera already. The one I have works well enough, but I can see in my head how I want my pictures to look, and I just don't think this camera quite has the capability. IDK, I also need to try some new things with lighting to see if that helps.

I should be getting my second Helmer this week because I have completely ran out of room in my first one. I have about 20 polishes sitting on top that will not fit and I have had to put polishes in drawers that they don't belong in because there is just no more room. I'm also getting some swatch sticks, so I will be able to organize my stash by color on the sticks. I think it's going to be quite the task for over 500 polishes, though. Yikes!

Just thought I would update a bit since there weren't any giveaways to post. Have a great day!!

China Glaze Pink Plumeria

Pink Plumeria is one of the shades that was just released in the summer neon collection. It's a bright, shimmering pink, although I wouldn't necessarily classify it as a neon. My camera sure would, though. Two of these pics are color accurate, the others came out more orange-y/coral. The display screen on my camera, I have found, doesn't really show the pics as they are going to show up on the computer, so it's hard to judge if I got any color accurate ones or not before I go to edit and crop.

This does dry with a satin matte finish, so a top coat is required for a glossy look. Overall, I really liked this color. It's super flattering, and it a bright, fun summer shade without being too over the top neon. I used three coats for maximum intensity, but two would have sufficed.

1 coat Orly Bonder, 3 coats Pink Plumeria, 1 coat SV.
